Obituary of June Person

Preceded in death by beloved husband Arthur D. Person and dear sister Marlene Hanggi Heimbigner. June was the daughter of John A. & Clara L. Hanggi. Survived by daughters Chris (Dave) Schmitt, Sue (Greg) Rasmussen, Barb (Jerry) Ferkingstad and son David (Angelina); grandchildren Jason (Renee) Schmitt, Amy (Mike) Van Zee, Liz (Josh) Woodworth, Andy Rasmussen, J Paul Ferkingstad, Jesse Ferkingstad & Jon Shoberg; great-grandchildren Jack, Sofia, Tiffany, Jacob, Alex, Sami, Mya & Jaylen. Also survived by brothers Gerald (Phyllis) Hanggi, Glen (Janet) Hanggi; brother-in-law Chuck Heimbigner; many cousins, nieces, nephews and the ladies of Zeta Chi. June was a life-long member of Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church where she volunteered her sewing talents for many charitable projects over the years. She graduated from Johnson High School in 1942 and served in the Navy as a dental technician during WWII. She raised four children alone until she married Art in 1968. They had 26 wonderful years together before his death in 1994. Special thanks to the entire staff of Cerenity Care Center-Marian of St. Paul and HealthPartners Hospice who provided Mom with such wonderful care and companionship: we are forever grateful.
