87 of Little Canada Passed away November 24, 2015 A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 3 at Anderson Funeral Home, St. Paul. Cremation rights have been accorded. A private burial will be at a later date. Anne was born November 2, 1928, in Evanston, Ill., daughter of August (Smaland, Sweden) and Ingeborg Andersen (Oslo, Norway) Carlberg. She graduated Evanston High School, attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. She worked at the Minnesota Optometric Association and the St. Paul Hotel, before becoming a self-employed watercolor artist and professional framer. Anne was gifted to play piano by ear and entertained many with her music and personality at senior centers, HarMar Mall, and other venues. She was a member of North Heights Lutheran Church and enjoyed her Bible studies and Christian Women's Club. Survivors include her nieces and nephews and many special friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Phil (Helvie) Roy (June), Bernice (Don) Graville and George (Mary). Family would like to thank St. John's Hospital, Langton Place, Keystone Senior Living, and HealthPartners Hospice for their loving care in her last month. Anne will forever be remembered for her contagious smile, exceptional wit, and being an inspiration to all who knew her.
