Age 82, Of St. Paul. Died from brain cancer. Retired teacher at St. Paul Public Schools. Former priest with the Catholic Archdiocese from '60-'70. Graduate of Nativity Grade School, Cretin High School '52, St. Paul Seminary '60, St. Joseph's College-Indiana '67 and University of Indiana '69. Larry enjoyed singing and playing the piano and was an enthusiastic supporter of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. He volunteered at St. Stephen's Homeless Shelter in Minneapolis and Listening House in St. Paul. Larry was preceded in death by parents, Theodor and Winifred, and brother-in-law, Paul Schaffhausen. He is survived by sister, Barbara Schaffhausen; brothers, Paul (Helen), Bro. Robert F.S.C "Ted", John (Connie) and Richard (Teena Moy); special friend, Anita Welch; nieces and nephews, Steve, Joe, Jane, Anne, Mary, Katie, John, Ted, Jen, Chris and Ben; 20 great-nieces and nephews. Many thanks for their devoted care to staff of Southview Senior Living, HeathPartners Hospice, Synergy HomeCare. Visitation from 3:00 - 6:00 PM on Tuesday, July 19 at ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 1401 Arcade St (Hwy 61), St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 20 at NATIVITY OF OUR LORD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1900 Stanford Ave, St. Paul. Luncheon to follow.
