Obituary of George Eugene Hayes

George Eugene Hayes, Age 75 of Maplewood, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by family on February 10th, 2017. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Senia and William Hayes; brothers, Wesley, Roger and Michael; sisters, Jenine and Sylvia; and life-long friend, Art Hinze. He will be greatly missed and is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Bonnie; daughters, Cherie (John) Schmit, Sheila Hayes and Shelley (Mike) Sobczyk; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan) Schaefer and Nick and Emma Sobczyk; great-grandchildren, Abby and Andrew Schaefer; sisters, Donna Ball, Patricia (Leonard) Shatava and Cynthia Hayes; many nieces and nephews; the staff at Magnolia's restaurant who were lucky enough to see him almost every morning and, lastly, his many other friends who loved him, as well. George was a highly-sought after and gifted mechanic. Memorial Service on Wednesday, February 15th, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade Street (Hwy 61), Saint Paul, Minnesota with visitation one hour prior to the service.
