Obituary of Marion Sandstrom

Marion "Lars" Sandstrom, 89, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Our Lady of Peace Hospice, St. Paul. She was born on June 25, 1931 in St. Paul to Fred & Dora (Gilstad) Larson. Marion graduated from St. Paul Johnson High School in 1948. She graduated from Bethesda Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in 1952, becoming a Registered Nurse. On April 11, 1953 she married David P. Sandstrom at First Covenant Church in St. Paul. Marion was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; son, Bruce D. Sandstrom; and sisters, Elaine (Clare) Swanson, Lois (Tom) Champlin, and Evelyn (Cal) Roseine. She will be deeply missed by her children, Kim (Craig) Peterson and Brent (Tamala) Sandstrom; her grandchildren, Britt (Juston) Cline, Erik and Karl Peterson, Amber and Denver Sandstrom (Ashley): great-granddaughter, Sophia Cline; other relatives & friends. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade Street (Hwy 61), St. Paul, followed by a 2:00 p.m. Memorial Service. Masks will be worn and social distancing guidelines will be followed. Interment will be private. Reminders: All attendees are required to wear face coverings/masks at all times. Anyone with symptoms of illness (cough, fever, shortness of breath, etc.) and/or anyone who has been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 2 weeks should stay home. Thank You.
