Obituary of JoAnn Neamy
Please share a memory of JoAnn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
JoAnn Neamy, age 86 of Little Canada, passed away at home surrounded by her family on October 24th 2020. She was preceded in death by husbands, James Neamy and Thomas Eddy; parents, Henry & Florence Bowen; brother, Richard Bowen; and sister, Barbara Bowen. Survived by and devoted to her children, Roger (Vicki) Eddy, Jim (Sherry) Eddy, Robin (Greg) Galloway, Scott (LeaAnn) Neamy, Mark Neamy, and Tresa Parent; and siblings, Dorothy Jones, James Bowen, Connie Koecher, and Sharon Bowen. A second mom to many nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and anyone else in need - even the four-legged ones. Her home, a safe place that welcomed everyone just as they were, at all hours and the coffee was always on. Sitting around her table was a place to talk without fear, cry without judgment, and laugh until your worries went away. Her loving nature didn't end in the home. She brought kindness and compassion with her every day for 26 years at Regions Hospital. Above all else, JoAnn was most PROUD to be the grandmother and great-grandmother of 23 children. She shared with them tall tales of her life, the importance of family, and endless uses for ketchup. We will miss her every day, foam rollers and all!
A private family service will be Monday, November 2nd, with interment at Forest Lawn. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Video of the service will be available Monday evening at www.andersonfuneralhome.com/tribute/details/1135/JoAnn-Neamy/obituary.html
