Obituary of Alanna Claire Hill

Alanna Claire Hill, age 30, of Circle Pines, joined our Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022. Alanna was born in St. Paul, MN to Annamarie Hill and Anthony Raj on October 8th, 1991. Alanna grew up on the East Side of St. Paul. Everyone who knew her knew she was always a St. Paul girl, no matter where she lived. Alanna also spent a lot of time in Aikin with her Grandpa Simon, Grandma Claire, aunts, uncles and cousins. This is where her love of hunting was birthed. She later moved to Forest Lake where she spent most of her teenage years, and it was during this time, she met the love of her life, Matt. Their friendship turned to romance, and they had three beautiful children, Tracen (10), Illiana (8), and Lenson (5). Many days were spent doing fun activities with the children; going to the beach, the park, museums and festivals, and on Sundays, they could all be found sitting around the television, with family & friends, cheering on the Vikings. Alanna’s work ethic was impeccable. Alanna’s dreams didn’t stop there, though; she was always reaching and wanting more for her family. So, besides being a wife, a doting and working mom, she was studying to get her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and had aspirations to help the Native American community. She had a generous heart for so many and such passion for those in need. She had a beautiful soul, was vivacious and charming. She will be missed by many and her legacy will live on. Alanna has joined her grandpa, Simon Hill; grandpa, Varad Raj, grandma, Marlene Swanson; father-in-law, James Hafiz; and brother, Anthony Raj, in paradise with our Heavenly Father. She is survived by her parents, Annamarie Hill and Anthony Raj; long term partner, Matt Hafiz; children; Tracen (10), Iliana (8), and Lenson (5); many siblings and their partners; nieces & nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins; and countless friends. A Celebration of Alanna's Life will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at First Baptist Church, 499 Wacouta Street, St. Paul, Minnesota, with Visitation 1 hour prior.
