Obituary of Scott J Anderson
Please share a memory of Scott to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Born 11/30/1962 in Kowloon, Hong Kong.
Preceded in death by parents Roger and Ruth Anderson, and sister Diane (Gary) Persons. He is survived by brother Gary (Judy) Anderson of Bozeman, Montana, and brother Bryan (Mary) of Champlin, MN.
He became a follower of Jesus at an early age and was involved in Christian youth groups throughout his Hong Kong years.
Attended Beacon Hill elementary and King George V school through Form 5 (US grade 11). Graduated from Johnson High School, St. Paul Minnesota.
After one year at Bethel College, he transferred to Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana earning a BA in Communications.
Most of Scott's career was in the tradeshow business in Minneapolis and Atlanta, with 30 years at Brede as freight manager, account executive, and then general manager of their Minneapolis branch.
He loved the adrenaline rush of tradeshows, setting up dozens of truckloads of product in a venue in two days, troubleshooting for exhibitors during the show, and reloading it into semi-trucks within two days of the closing. He loved people and working with them. Unfortunately, his industry fell victim to COVID-19 and he had to lay off people and dissolve the Minneapolis assets before losing his own job. Change was difficult for Scott and he never recovered and then health issues took on a greater significance.
He was quick to laugh, listened to people, and had plenty of political opinions.
Besides trade shows, he loved Montana, fishing, hunting, cribbage, poker, and family; the other love of his life was his 10 nieces and nephews.
He passed away on August 14 of an apparent heart attack. No more foot neuropathy, diabetic ailments nor trying to find employment after COVID-19. He's now at home in heaven with his Savior and preceding family members.
