Preceded in death by Parents Darryl & Jolene Skinaway; Grandparents, Patrick “John B” & Marilyn Fairbanks & Chief Benny Sr & Marion Skinaway; Niece, Rochelle Contreras and many other loved ones.
Survived by the love of his life & lifelong partner, Jennifer Cook; Children, Jeremy, Jenna, Delana & Jathen; Sister, Trina (Mike); Brothers, Manuel (Rosanne) & Christopher (Denielle). He had alot of special people in his life, a very large family and many many of friends.
Darryl was born and raised on the Eastside of St. Paul, a true “Eastside Legend.” He was an enrolled member of the St. Croix Ojibwe Tribe. Darryl was funny, loving & kind. He enjoyed listening to music, watching sports, spending time with his children. He loved hanging out with his family & friends. He was a protector and would do anything for the ones he loved. He was loyal to all and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. His smile was contagious. His jokes & war stories were never ending. He was truly one of a kind. Boogie Down will be missed by many.
Memorial Gathering 5:00-9:00PM Friday, March 8th, at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade Street N (Hwy 61), St. Paul.
The funeral procession to Elmhurst Cemetery will depart 11AM Saturday from Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church's north parking lot at 1669 Arcade Street (Hwy 61), St. Paul. Following the burial there will be a luncheon at the NALC Union Hall, 1715 Van Dyke St Maplewood, MN 55109.
