Rae was born in Minneapolis and moved to Alida MN. Graduated from Bagley High School. She then moved to the big city of St. Paul where she met Bud, her future husband. They married and had five children.
Rae had a passion for many things. She volunteered for over 30 years at Good Samaritan Society-Maplewood as well as worked there for several years. She especially loved making the Easter Baskets for the raffles. Bought more jewelry from the fund raising than she needed. Helped raise money for many improvements for Good Samaritan.
Rae was a member of the St. Paul East Parks Lions Club for many years. She served as President for one term.
Rae and Bud both loved old cars and belonged to Capital City Antique Car Club as well as the North Star Lincoln and Continental Owners Club.
She resided in her last days at Crest View Senior Communities Blaine. We can not express how thankful we are to the staff that helped with her care.
Our family is forever grateful for the love, dedication and support that Rae received from HealthPartners Hospice & Palliative Care Team #2. Without them it would not have been possible to spend every moment with her that we did.
