Obituary of Janet Hubel
Please share a memory of Janet to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Janet Byrum Hubel, 67, of Burnsville, Minnesota, went Home to be with the Lord on November 29 due to complications of sporadic cerebellar ataxia, which Janet endured for the past 8 years. Janet grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and was a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit with a degree in finance. After getting married in 1972 and moving a few times, Janet and her husband, Bob, settled down in Burnsville, Minnesota in July 1980, where they raised their children. Janet was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was very involved in her church where she taught Sunday School for many years and led women's Bible Studies. Janet loved the Lord, and this was evident through her character, her teaching, the way she raised her children, and her words. In addition, Janet was extremely creative, and loved to sew, quilt, and do many crafts. Janet was preceded in death by her father, Carl Byrum. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert; her four children, Kathryn (Eli) Li of Shenyang, China; Jeremy (Valerie) of Fridley; Kristyn (Kevin) McClure of Minneapolis; and Jeffrey (Christine) of Burnsville; her eight grandchildren, Megan and Mikayla Li; Lexi, Mayabel, and Clara Hubel; Felicity, Linus, and Simon Hubel; and by her mother, Margaret Byrum and sister, Nancy Jobe, both of Newburgh, Indiana. The family thanks all the wonderful friends who have walked alongside Janet during this difficult time and spent countless hours graciously caring for her. God has used these friends to bring help, encouragement, and blessings into Janet's life and the lives of her husband and children.
