Obituary of Lucille Nyquist

Age 94, of Minneapolis. Born 1 February 1920, passed away 17 October, 2014, surrounded by family. Lucille was a lifelong resident of St. Paul and a proud graduate of Harding High School, 1938. She lived in Como Park for 62 years; was a member of Central Baptist Church; active in children's and women's ministries and the church choir. She had a lifelong love of music-playing piano, hand bells, and singing. She was a stenographer for the US Justice Department and the US Civil Service during and after World War II, and retired in 1988 after a long career as bookkeeper for the St. Paul Council of Churches. Preceded in death by husband of 66 years, Hjalmer (Pete). She will be sadly missed by children Greg (Gayle), Mary Berndt (Karl), and Richard (Jane Kohnen); 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grand-children, many nieces, nephews and many friends. Memorial Service 2:00 Friday, October 24, at Central Baptist Church, 420 Roy St N, St Paul, MN. Memorials preferred to Central Baptist Church.
