Obituary of Lawrence W. Hanson

Age 94, most recently of Wyoming, MN. Passed away Thursday surrounded by his family & caregivers. Born in Lewis, WI, he was the son of Anton and Minnie (Johnson) Hanson. Lawrence was a WWII veteran in the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific at the Battles of Bougainville and Okinawa. He was employed by the Northwestern Bell Tel. Co. for 37 years. Besides his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Joy Lucene (Vance) and two brothers, Harold and Ervin. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Delores Hanson of Methuen, MA and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 22 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade St (Hwy 61), St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials welcome to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
