Obituary of Amy J. Palm

Age 85. Formerly of White Bear Lake, MN. Died on Dec. 26, 2015, at White Pine Senior Living in Blaine, MN. Amaryllis (Amy) was born in Brainerd, MN to William and Mabel (Olson) Palmquist on Dec. 12, 1930. After graduating with honors from Washington High School in Brainerd; Amy attended and graduated from Brainerd Jr. College. She worked at Madison Sporting Goods in accounting and later for the REA. She then moved to Minneapolis to seek work there. With her excellent grades, found office jobs easily. Amy received her BA degree from the U of M while working days and attending night classes. She was then employed by C & H Chemical Co., Emil Cedarholm, president of the company, as his office manager. On June 20, 1970, Amy married Stanley Palm after she met him at the St. Paul Hiking Club. Amy continued working at C & H Chemical after the sale of C & H Chemical to William Cammick, President; and worked there until her retirement. She and Stanley loved going up north fishing. Amy was preceded in death by her parents & her husband, Stanley. Amy is survived by her sister, Beverly (Lloyd) Shepard; aunt, Jean Olson; nieces, Barbara (Dean) Verdoes & Mary (Jim) San Cartier; nephew, Timothy (Jill) Shepard; grand-nieces & nephews, Joanna, Garrett (Jacki), Michelle (Andrew), Chad (Stephanie) & Ryan; great-grand-nephew, Isaiah; many cousins & friends. Visitation and funeral will be on Saturday, Jan. 2nd at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade St (Hwy 61), St. Paul, MN. Visitation at 9:30 AM and funeral will follow at 10:30 AM.
