Obituary of Bettie M Friberg

Bettie passed away peacefully on Monday, May 23, 2016 surrounded by those who loved her. Bettie was a strong, determined, and fiercely independent woman. Bettie worked at the MN Legislature & was active in DFL politics. She loved flowers and gardening. Bettie opened her heart and her home to many in need over the years. She was always willing to help out where she could, even in her final moments. Bettie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; parents, Edward & Agnes Wilkerson; and brothers, Donald, Stanley, and William. She is survived by 6 children, Greg (Carol) Friberg, Grant (Jan) Friberg, George (Joanne) Friberg, Shannon (Tom Risor) Friberg, Shelley (Bill) Pickett, and Shawn Friberg; sisters, Sharon Kottke and Marcy Bilder; brother, Rodney (Ralane) Wilkerson; 14 grandchildren, Chris, Troy, Tanja, Ambee, Kelsey, Jonah, Alex, Lauren, Melissa, Justin, Brandon, Chandra, Nathan, Liliana; 19 great-grandchildren; and her loving caregiver, Connie Craig. Visitation is Tuesday, May 31st, 2016 from 4-7pm with a 7pm Memorial Service all at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade St (Hwy 61), St. Paul. Memorials Preferred.
