Ruth E. Hoiekvam (Christenson)

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 29th, 2017 at the age of 100. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents, Berger & Anna Christenson; sisters, Edith Christenson, Mabel Christenson-Carr; brother-in-law, H. Milton Carr. Ruth is survived by her niece, Koreen (Richard) Pedginski, their children, Michele (Tony), Deborah (Ed), Christine (Juan), Rick (Denise) & grandchildren, Afton, Justin, Amanda, Trevor, Victoria, Lauren, Gabriela, Sophia, Ava, and great-grandchild, Zoe; her nephew, M. James (Peggy) Carr, their children, Karen, Jenny (Joe), Michael (Lauren), Jeffrey, Katie & grandchildren, Ethan and Nolan. Ruth is also survived by several relatives and friends. She was a 35 year employee & retiree of W.T. Grant Co. Ruth loved golf, bowling, playing bridge, arts & crafts, and watching sports. Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 7th, 2017 at Arlington Hills Lutheran Church, 1115 Greenbrier Street, Saint Paul, Minnesota with Visitation 1 hour prior. There will be a Luncheon immediately following the service. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Maplewood, Minnesota after the luncheon.
