Obituary of Grace Eguakun

Madam Grace Eguakun "Iye" passed away on Saturday, September 1st, 2018 at the age of 76.

The late Madam Grace Eguakun, nee Aibangbe, was born on the 28^th day of October 1941 to the family of Pa John Aibangbe at Ogumwenyin Village (Okponha) in Ovia Northeast local government area of Edo state.

She was happily married to the late Chief Alfred Amayanvbo Eguakun (The Eribo of Uselu) in Egor local government.  They were blessed with two beautiful daughters: The late chief Abieyuwa Joy Eboreime and Pastor Mrs. Loveth Deborah Amayanvbo-Aligbe, with seven grandchildren. Madam Grace was also well-trained seamstress and a big-time tobacco and rice merchant in Nigeria with various stores in Benin City, traveling everywhere in Nigeria and outside the country on business trips (west Africa).

Madam Grace lived all her life serving God as a useful tool in the hands of God. She was a deaconess and the mother of the church of Jesus Save Ministry in Benin City. She was also a dedicated member of the council of elders and a member of advisory board in the 80’s.

She then moved to the USA in 2003 where she lived with her daughter, Pastor Loveth Amayanvbo-Aligbe, and family. She was also the grand matron of elegant women of Minnesota since the day of inception in 2011 to date. She did not miss any monthly meeting. She took good care of her children, grandchildren, and others in the community. She continued to serve the Lord faithfully

Mama, popularly known as “Iye,” was a dedicated member and the church mother of Immaculate Church of God for 15 years. She never missed any church activities; she attended church on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays - even when the weather was below zero - to serve the Lord. That was how much she loved God. She served God and endured the test of time with her family, even when nobody was there, she was still faithful and loyal to the work of God for these years in the house of God.

Until her death, Mama was a dedicated member, a co-founder, and the covenant mother of The Ark of Covenant Ministry, which was established in September 2017, under the pastorship of her daughter, Senior Pastor Loveth Deborah Amayanvbo-Aligbe, in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

The Funeral Services will be held at 11:30AM on Friday, October 5th, 2018 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade Street (Hwy 61), Saint Paul, Minnesota. Interment will take place at Mound Cemetery in Brooklyn Park immediately following the service.
